2006 Atomic M:9 Puls / Balanze 11: Extremely stable, bumps, trees, excellent edge grip (one of the top, eastern skiers take note), light to medium stiffness, excellent short to long radius turns, good in moderate powder and a variety of conditions, men loved the M:9 Puls and women were jazzed about Balanze 11.

2006 Atomic Metron B5: Phenomenal Ski ... Extremely stable at high speeds, superb edge grip (one of the top, eastern skiers take note), versatile and best for carving in a range of radii and conditions from hard pack to powder. Excellent bump, tree and moderate powder performance. Those who would like a slightly less demanding ski should also consider M:11 Puls that is a bit lighter and slighly easier to turn but same foot print as B5. Experts only for either ski.

2005 Dynastar Skicross Carve: Stable, turny, bumps, trees, excellent edge grip, medium stiffness, handles short to long radius turns and a variety of conditions equally well, both men and women like it, Ski Magazine reports it can be a little nervious at the highest speeds, Ski Press calls this Skicross 8 (Fall 2004).

2006 Rossignol Zenith Z9 Oversize TPI: Stable, turny, good bump and tree performance, good edge grip (better for men than women), medium stiffness, better in short radius turns but can also handle long radius turns, good in moderate powder and a variety of conditions, men like it more than women. Less aggressive skiers might like the Zenith Z5 Oversize better.

2006 Salomon Scrambler 9 / Scrambler Hot / Siam No 10: Stable, turny, bumps, trees, strong edge grip, light to medium stiffness, can ski a variety of turn radi, good in moderate powder and a variety of conditions, women liked it slightly more than men. The guys in the Northeast prefer the Scrambler Hot over the Scramber 9 as it has slightly better edge grip.
