2007 Atomic SX 9 Puls: This is an all-round great ski. It is very easy to initiate turns and excels at all types of turn radii. It will even handle bumps and sliding off piste. It also has excellent edge grip.

2007 Dynastar Contact 9: This ski is energetic, quick turning, fun and great in a variety of turn radii. It excels at short radius carving but you can also take it off piste and in the bumps. You will also have no problem committing to your edges with the strong grip and forgiveness of of this ski.

2007 Fischer RX6: This is a fun, easy to turn smooth ski. It is also very forgiving, stable and enjoys all size turn radii. Although it excels in carving, it can be brought off piste for daring intermediates. There is also no need to worry about this ski in icy conditions because it hold well. Those looking for a less stiff ski should consider the RX4.

2007 Volkl S5 Titanium: This ski is the replacement for the 5 Star. It is a great ski for improving skiers because it is easy to turn, can handle a variety of turn radii although it excels in longer radius turns and has excellent edge grip. It also likes a variety of terrain but definitely excels at carving arcs on the groomers. Some less aggressive skiers will prefer the S4.

2007 Volkl Attiva S5 Titanium: This ski has received rave reviews. It excels at everything but the fastest speeds. It is also extremely versatile so feel free to slide it off piste. Mogul friendly, forgiveness, energy, excellent edge grip ... this ski has it all. Some less aggressive skiers may prefer the Attiva S4.
